PROJECT OBJECTIVE
For a remodeling project in Fontana, Engerman Contracting completed a full first-floor renovation focused on updating and refreshing an older home without altering the original layout. The kitchen, main living areas, and trim throughout the house were remodeled to modernize and brighten the space, creating a classic and timeless feel that will hold up for years to come. All work was completed while the homeowners continued living in the home, ensuring comfort and continuity throughout the renovation process.
Remodel Highlights
Custom cabinetry was installed throughout the kitchen, dining room, bar, and laundry areas. This provided a cohesive look across the home while improving storage and overall functionality. The cabinetry selections helped create a unified, refined feel throughout the main floor.
Architectural details were refreshed with a new V-groove wainscot treatment, particularly featured in the dining room, adding depth and visual interest. The trim package also included new interior doors and updated hardware, bringing a clean and updated finish to the home.
The main living room was transformed through a redesigned fireplace wall that now serves as the focal point of the space. This feature wall elevates the atmosphere of the room and provides a warm central gathering point for everyday living and entertaining.
The dining area bar was enhanced with glass tile and lighted cabinetry, adding a touch of sophistication and making the space more inviting and functional. This feature not only adds visual appeal but also improves usability for hosting and storage.
During the reconstruction of the living room wall and fireplace, additional insulation was added to improve the energy efficiency of the home. This upgrade increased comfort and performance without altering the original footprint.
Signature touches from Engerman Contracting are found throughout, including the V-groove and shiplap wall treatments and a custom built-in mirror surround. These details help personalize the space and give the home a character that reflects thoughtful craftsmanship.
