PROJECT OBJECTIVE

Originally built in 2007 by Engerman Contracting, this custom lakefront home on the south shore of Geneva Lake underwent a stunning transformation to meet the unique needs of its new owners. With over 11,000 square feet of refined living space, the renovation reimagines the home’s original Lake Modern style into a sophisticated Modern Transitional architectural statement—offering an ideal retreat for weekend living without ever leaving the property.

Designed with entertaining, family functionality, and elegant leisure in mind, the renovation included comprehensive updates to interior living spaces, Addition of exterior gathering spaces patios seating areas including fire pit and pool and spa, custom specialty features throughout. Every detail was tailored to the homeowners’ lifestyle—from culinary upgrades to pet-friendly laundry areas to a state-of-the-art movie theater. 

Interior Renovation with Style & Function

The kitchen was renovated to support the family’s preferred culinary style, complete with stainless steel detailing, enhanced refrigeration, and added storage. The powder room now features an upholstered floating vanity, bespoke wall treatments, and premium fixtures. Throughout the home, finishes and paint were meticulously selected to reflect a refined yet approachable aesthetic. A dramatic floor-to-ceiling mirrored sitting room brings the outdoors in—reflecting the natural beauty of the wooded lakeshore.

Lower Level Transformation

One of the home’s most striking features is the transformed lower-level bar, where mirrored cabinetry, glass accents, and reflective surfaces create a showstopping centerpiece that balances modernity with warmth. Just steps away, the private home theater offers stadium seating with fully upholstered recliners, immersive sound, and ambient lighting—bringing a cinematic experience into the comfort of their lake home.

Resort-Like Outdoor Living

Outside, the renovation is just as bold. The team reshaped the upper patio to include a grand stone table that comfortably seats 20, perfect for lakeside entertaining. A new pool and 8-person hot tub, surrounded by a custom blue stone patio, create a luxurious oasis. The expanded grounds also include a zip line, Sport Court for basketball, tennis, and pickleball, a built-in trampoline, and a custom fire pit—turning the backyard into a hub for recreation and relaxation.

With thoughtful design choices and purposeful enhancements, we transformed the home to reflect the lifestyle and vision of its new owners. From reusing cabinetry in creative ways to integrating signature details like exposed beams and a dramatic catwalk in the great room, every element was carefully considered. The result is a cohesive, elevated home that honors its original craftsmanship while embracing a fresh, modern transitional style—built to be lived in, enjoyed, and shared for years to come.
