PROJECT OBJECTIVE

Collaborating with the homeowners and their architectural team, we transformed an online plan into a custom residence tailored to their living lifestyle. Situated on two lots, the home evokes the feel of a manor with its circular drive and thoughtfully designed spaces for family gatherings. Oversized windows bring the serene countryside indoors, allowing natural light and views to flow throughout the home and create a seamless connection with the surrounding landscape.

Design Features

A large radius kitchen window spans the entire elevation, framing breathtaking views and creating a light-filled focal point at the heart of the home. From this central space, the design flows seamlessly. A rear porch connects the great room and master suite, offering a serene area for relaxation and entertaining. Inside, prefinished engineered flooring provides both durability and elegance, while custom touches include a cozy breakfast room adjacent to the kitchen and a versatile bedroom or bonus room above the garage.

The backyard pool is designed for both fun and retreat. Signature Engerman Contracting details such as white oak box beams and trusses at the cathedral ceiling and a stone fireplace flanked by built-ins with floating shelves bring warmth and sophistication to the interiors. Oversized windows throughout the home invite the serene countryside inside, and enhanced insulation ensures comfort and energy efficiency throughout.

This home is part of Woodstone Prairie, a community committed to preserving the natural beauty of southeastern Wisconsin. Nestled in the countryside of the Town of Linn, between Lake Geneva and Fontana, Woodstone Prairie blends residential living with nature, creating a harmonious environment where families can thrive.

Developed by Engerman Contracting in partnership with Mike Keefe, the 55-acre community features wildflower meadows, walking trails, tree-lined boulevards, a peaceful pond, and a shared community garden. A conservation easement runs along the back of the property, ensuring the natural landscape is preserved for generations to enjoy. Every home is distinct yet unified by architectural consistency and design standards, including welcoming front entries, side or rear garage placement to preserve clean streetscapes, and cohesive landscaping.

Design Vision

The homeowners wanted a welcoming space for adult children and grandchildren, blending family connection with private retreat areas. Every element of the home; from the manor-style exterior to the intimate interior spaces; reflects thoughtful planning, personalized craftsmanship, and timeless design, hallmarks of the Engerman Contracting approach.
